Fifteen years ago, this was my mantra: “I won’t be afraid. I’ll be alright if you help me. I know you’re looking down from heaven. And I won’t let you down. I’ll be everything you taught me, and all that I know is I’ll wait… patiently to see you in heaven.”
In 15 years I’ve learned this: My mommy is the best guardian angel ever… She’s always with me and always will be. And as long as me, my sister, my aunts and uncles, my cousins and everyone who loved her keep love and laughter in this world, her spirit remains. Thank you, Marie-Laure David Saint-Louis for all that you were, and all it has made me today.
(Can’t believe this still song makes me cry so hard. *smile*)
